Chocolate Buttercream Frosting


I put this over the Chocolate Layer Cake.  Recipe from Amicus Cupcake.


Ingredients
1 & ½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened 
4 & ½ cups confectioner’s sugar 
2 tbsp vanilla bean paste (or extract) 
3 – 4 tsp milk (any kind; I prefer buttermilk) 
4 tbps cocoa powder

STEPS
Beat together until smooth:
1 & ½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened 
4 & ½ cups confectioner’s sugar 

Beat in 2 tbsp vanilla

Beat in enough milk that the mixture is still, but pipable (you don’t want it to be too firm.

Beat in 4 tbps cocoa powder.

Spread over cake.
